We have several committees for the events that we are planning on hosting and attending throughout the year. If you'd like to help out at any of these, please be sure to contact a director.

The East Central Farm Show is returning to Lindsay Exhibition Grounds on March 6th & 7th.  The Peterborough County Cattlemen will once again be sharing a booth space with the Victoria Beef Farmers.  Be sure to stop by our booth.   If you have some spare time and would like to volunteer to be at the booth for a few hours either day, please let us know.

Fleming College Sustainable Agriculture Students Looking for Co-op Placements

Fleming students in the Sustainable Agriculture Co-op program are busy looking for co-op placements for this coming summer. 

As part of their program, students required to complete a co-op placement of 580 hours between May 1 and August 31, 2024.

White Face Classic Sale

Looking for another way to market your Hereford influenced females (F1) or Purebred Hereford Cattle? The ECOHZ is accepting consignments for the WHITEFACE CLASSIC SALE which will be held on May 11th at Hoards Station Barn. This sale is open to anyone who uses Herefords in their breeding program.  We are accepting, open & bred females, cow/calf pairs, Purebred, non registered Herefords, F1 - one parent must be a purebred Hereford & breeding age registered Hereford bulls.  Cattle don’t need to be halter broke.  You don’t need to be a member of the CHA or live in the ECOHZ area.   We are accepting consignments until the 1st of March. Stocker Calf Sale

Event date

The first stocker calf sale of 2024, hosted by the Peterborough County Cattlemen and the Victoria County Beef Farmers, will be held on January 31, 2024.  If you have stocker calves you would like to consign please contact Wayne Telford @ 705 292 9531 to obtain more details.
